When pet hospitals wait lists’ filled up and some veterinarians refused to take new patients in 2021, many people assumed it’s because vets were treating more pets. Pet hospitals across LA County cited wait times of more than eight hours, multiple days or even weeks, without the option for a walk-in appointment.
