What kind of testing will my cat undergo to check for a respiratory condition?

Hi Tom,

A video of your cat breathing is a great tool. Unfortunately, it’s only a part of the information that we can use to help diagnose a cat respiratory condition. A more thorough history is needed and the most important part is to actually have a listen to the lungs. Some radiographs (x-rays) might also be indicated. I would encourage you to schedule an appointment with your vet and after they have asked some additional questions and examined him/her, have them watch the video to help come up with a comprehensive monitoring or treatment plan.

I hope this helps,

Dr. Ryan Llera
